Mold Making Class

Interested in making molds, but don't know where to start? In this 4hr workshop, Gabbie will be showing the process of creating molds using pottery plaster from start to finish, from steps in making the mold to tips and tricks in maintaining the molds. You will be creating a 2 part mold that is about 8"x8"x8" large, using a piece that is no larger than 6" x 6" x6" in size, so bring in a piece of pottery, a trinket, or a funky scuplture that you'd like to create a mold out of, and it will be used in class! 

Keep in mind that not all pieces are mold friendly, as any piece with undersides will not be able detached. Molds made in class are for students to keep. No slipcasting is possible since the molds need 2 weeks to cure first. Materials are included in the class fee. You can see more of Gabrielle's work here.
